This coil pot was made with the inspiration of similar coil pots made by the Mangbetu people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I made this pot for my final project in Nora Brodnicki’s ceramic class. It was later entered in the 2015/16 Student Exhibition in the Alexander Gallery and would go on to receive the area award in ceramics.
